Due to food safety, we do not allow any type of animals on our farm. Anyone with a service animal, as defined by ADA will be accommodated.
Gieringer's reserves the right to close the picking fields due to inclement weather (heavy rain, thunder, lightning and/or high winds) without advance notice in order to protect their customers and employees.
Yes, we are a conventional farm. We have a very intense IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program. We regularly scout our production fields to identify any potential problems before we select a treatment plan. This minimizes the need for costly treatments but allows us to address fruit quality issues so we can continue to provide top quality produce.
No, due to food safety we do not allow outside containers. We have containers available for each u-pick crop.
Here are our U-pick crops and their typical picking dates. These dates are all weather dependent.
Strawberries: May
Blueberries: June
Blackberries: Mid June-July
Peaches: Late June - August
Sweet Corn: Late June - August
Sunflowers: August/September
Apples: September/October
Pumpkins: Late September- October
